Rawal’s decision to leave the movie surprised his co-stars and fans alike. The actor had previously stated on X that he was leaving “Hera Pheri 3,” although he stressed that he and director Priyadarshan had no creative disagreements.

He told Mid-Day, “I adore Priyadarshan and have a lot of faith and regard for him as a director.

 

My audience loves and respects me more than money can buy. I simply felt that it was a role I didn’t want to play at the moment.
According to sources, Rawal received a legal notice from Akshay Kumar’s production label after he left, demanding Rs 25 crore in damages. “There have been expenses incurred towards the cast, the crew, senior actors, logistics, equipment, and the shooting of the trailer,” said Pooja Tibke, joint managing partner at Pariman Law Associates, which carries Kumar’s banner.

“My lawyer, Ameet Naik, has sent an appropriate response regarding my rightful termination and exit,” Rawal tweeted on May 25 in response to the legal notice. All problems will be resolved after they have read my response.

 

 

In the meantime, Akshay Kumar will play Lord Shiva in the mythological fantasy movie “Kannappan,” which will be his first Telugu feature. The movie is slated for release on June 27, 2025, and stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role. Mohanlal and Prabhas will also make appearances.
